Biden Once Voted to Overturn Roe v. Wade

Fox News Host FINDS Something In Joe Biden’s Past

(NewsBroadcast.com) – Although President Joe Biden’s reaction to the leaked SCOTUS drafted opinion regarding possibly overturning Roe v Wade was in support of a woman’s right to choose, his votes didn’t always reflect that sentiment. In 1982, he signed the Human Life Federalism Amendment, which would have left abortion decisions up to the states.

At the time, the National Abortion Rights Action League called the bill signing a “devastating attack.” Biden questioned his right to weigh in on the issue at all and said it was a “difficult vote,” but signed the bill nonetheless.

The action seemed to back up his prior statements about Roe v Wade, saying in 1974 that the Supreme Court went “too far” by giving women sole decision-making power over the issue.

The original bill failed, but came up a year later to find Biden completely changed his stance. In 2012, the now-president stated the government does not have the right to tell women “they can’t control their body.”

Currently, President Joe Biden doesn’t agree with the younger version of himself. It seems he has completely flip-flopped on the issue — like he has so many others.

SCOTUS is expected to hand down a final opinion on the matter sometime in June.
