(NewsBroadcast.com) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been after former President Donald Trump for years. Pelosi’s latest push to smear him came from her Select Committee, which is investigating the events of January 6. The committee is close to gaining access to White House records about that day, although Trump’s lawyers are fighting hard against the move. But, she’s using this tension to continue her witch hunt against Trump.
On Tuesday, November 9, US District Judge Tanya Chutkan allowed the House of Representatives Committee to access communication and visitor records from Trump’s White House records. Judge Chutkan did this to protect constitutionally-granted congressional oversight powers. However, Trump’s lawyers appealed the decision right after it occurred.
W7VOA News reporter Steve Herman shared Pelosi’s reaction to the news on Twitter:

Pelosi celebrated the court’s move, declaring it “an important victory for the Constitution, the rule of law and the American people.” However, she then quickly took the opportunity to remind Americans of the “truth of that dark day” and tell readers that Trump “instigated and encouraged the insurrection” despite the fact no one has proved such a wild claim. While Pelosi continues to bring up past issues, it seems she is ignoring the multiple crises America faces right now in the wake of Biden’s presidency.
