Pelosi Is The Subject Of Wild Meltdown By Whoopi Goldberg
(NewsBroadcast.com) – When a draft opinion of a US Supreme Court abortion case was leaked to the press indicating it may overturn the 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade, Liberals lost their collective minds, including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). The Speaker, a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church, saw no conflict between her position on abortion and her faith. However, Archbishop Salvatore Corleone of the Archdiocese of San Francisco disagreed and announced he was denying her Holy Communion. That decision ignited a furious rant by actress Whoopi Goldberg.
The cohost of the talk show “The View,” who may ironically be best known for her role as a nun in the movie Sister Act, ripped into the bishop, telling him that “it’s not your job, dude.” As an individual with such a public platform, she probably should have made an effort at fact-checking herself before her tirade.

In an open letter, the bishop informed Ms. Pelosi that “should you not publicly repudiate your advocacy for abortion ‘rights’ or else refrain from referring to your Catholic faith in public…” he would have no choice but to deny her Holy Communion (the Eucharist). According to the webpage for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, “the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life,” and that life begins at conception, which makes abortion “an intrinsically evil act that can never be morally right.” It seems holding Pelosi accountable is exactly what the archbishop was supposed to do.
