Putin's Invasion Much Slower Than Expected, Insiders Say

(NewsBroadcast.com) – President Vladimir Putin is in the process of invading Ukraine to gain control of specific regions. One of his closest allies in the Russian military, the National Guard’s chief Viktor Zolotov discussed the pace of the Russian military attacks. He said they were moving slower than the Kremlin planned initially.

According to Chief Zolotov, operations should be moving faster based on previous conversations. He blames the described delay on right-winged Ukrainian forces hiding behind civilians. Days before, Russian defense minister Sergei Shoigu told military leaders, “All is going according to plan.”, despite indications Ukrainian resisters are presenting surprising strength.

After roughly three weeks of combat, intense fighting continues throughout Ukraine. The conflict has forced more than 2.5 million citizens to flee their country in fear for their lives. Even so, U.S. officials claim Russia seems to be struggling to push through and overtake certain regions. Russia has faced unexpected resistance from the Ukrainian military and those who refuse to back down.

Although Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is fighting for his country’s survival, the Ukrainian army adamantly denies all accusations about military operatives using natives as human shields. Instead, Ukrainian leaders point back at Moscow for committing horrendous war crimes. Whether Putin is executing his mission according to plan or not, it appears President Zelenskyy is not backing down.
