Caitlyn Jenner Supports Biological Female Athletes

(NewsBroadcast.com) – Lia Thomas was born as William Thomas 22 years ago in Austin, Texas. Thomas became a member of the University of Pennsylvania swim team during the 2017-18 academic year. During the 2019-20 season, Thomas began hormone therapy to transition into Lia. Thomas made a splash in the news this year as she dominated the world of NCAA women’s swimming, creating widespread controversy. Former Olympic athlete Caitlyn Jenner recently weighed in on the situation.

Bruce Jenner won the decathlon at the1976 Montréal Summer Olympics. Jenner later made that same journey Thomas did and transitioned to life as Caitlyn Jenner. She wrote an opinion piece published in the New York Post providing keen insight into her thoughts on the subject of transgender women competing against biological female athletes. In a nutshell, she believes that the NCAA failed to properly handle Title IX laws and didn’t give proper consideration to biological women who compete in college sports.

Ms. Jenner described the controversy surrounding Lia Thomas as “heartbreaking and maddening” because the NCAA “caved to the woke mob.” She says it disrespected all the hard work and sacrifice student-athletes and their families put in to reach such an elite level of competition.

Jenner also pointed out that many of the other swimmers who were impacted by this situation did not feel that they can express their true feelings, “without fear of retribution from the intolerant Left.” Put another way, one could say she is mourning the loss of the American ideal that hard work and dedication are what truly matter, not liberal ideology.
